Teaching Grammar Creatively is a conference which is being run in London, Birmingham and Manchester in 2013 to prepare primary school teachers for the changes to the curriculum which the current government are proposing, and help them to gear up for teaching grammar to primary aged children.
The courses are organised by the National Literacy Trust.
The conference runs from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and booking a place will cost you £230. If your school wishes to send more than one teacher, each additional ticket will be £210.
The event is run by Sue Palmer, author of Toxic Childhood.
The aim is:
‘to support primary practitioners to approach the teaching of grammar in creative, engaging and relevant ways. Developing essential skills is key but embedding the teaching of those skills creatively and linking those to purposeful reading and writing will be the focus for this practical day.’
