The National Literacy Trust are asking you to vote for your literacy hero.

There are different categories you could nominate someone in.

Perhaps you know a child who has overcome immense difficulties but gone on to make a stupendous success with reading?

Perhaps you know a volunteer who goes above and beyond for the cause of promoting literacy?

Perhaps you know a professional, a librarian or teacher that goes that extra mile?

What about an author who has made a tremendous difference to the way children you know read and enjoy books?

Whoever it is, the National Literacy Trust want you to nominate and vote for them.

The winners will be picked by a panel of celebrity judges, and there is a celebratory event in London in December to announce the winners and just celebrate literature in general.

The closing dates for votes is October 27th this year, so you haven’t got long.
